Worship tonight – 4/16/2014 at First Church Boston!

Just a quick reminder to join us tonight, April 16, at First Church in Boston for worship with The Sanctuary Boston!

Gather at 6 for snacks; worship begins at 6:15. Dinner to follow!

This week is the confluence of two sacred seasons: Holy Week and Passover. Patrick Kangrgra will offer a Holy Week meditation on not rushing through the difficult times straight to the next moment of pleasure.

Jo Lubkin will offer a reflection on “Midwives or Moses?” Here are some words from her:

“The Passover seder (ritual meal) begins with the retelling of the Israelites crying out for justice as slaves in Egypt, and throughout the course of the night, leads up to redemption and songs of joyous praise. Passover is a holiday which calls us to work for the liberation of all, that none of us are free if any of us are still in bondage. But how do we go about that work of liberation? What do we do when we hear the cries of the oppressed?”

Jo will reflect on two sources of inspiration from the story of the exodus, and together, we’ll envision our redemption.

Worship will be held upstairs in the (elevator-accessible) chapel. Come as you are. All are welcome.
