As a reminder, there is no worship scheduled for next week – we worship next on November 5th.
WORSHIP LOCATIONS IN NOVEMBER!!
We will be at First Parish in Cambridge on Wednesday, November 5th, where Mykal Slack will be offering a reflection entitled: Turning a Corner.
However, due to a scheduling conflict, The Sanctuary Boston WILL NOT be worshiping at the First Church in Boston on Wednesday, November 19th. Instead, we are very excited to be gathering for the first time at Arlington Street Church, 351 Boylston Street in Boston. A huge thanks to the Senior Minister, Rev. Kim Crawford Harvie, and Director of Music at both ASC and the Sanctuary Boston, Mark David Buckles, for offering and sharing their space with us!! We will gather at the usual time of 6:00 pm for snacks, worship at 6:15 pm and dinner to follow. Performer, educator and worship leader Matt Meyer, who shares the rhythms of his heart with us most Wednesdays, will be reflecting.
We’ll be back at First Church Boston on the 3rd Wednesday in December.
HAVE YOU EVER CONSIDERED HOSTING/ORGANIZING AN OFF-WEEK GATHERING?
Part of the ministry of connection at the Sanctuary Boston has been to gather as a community during the weeks we are not in worship together. Over the years, it has been invaluable to just BE together, to get to know each other better, for conversation, food, reflection and fun throughout the Boston and Cambridge areas. All it takes is a willingness to provide or suggest a space and ideas for deeper connection. If you’re interested, please let us know at email@example.com.
IT’S THANKSGIVING WEDNESDAYS IN NOVEMBER!!
To say thanks for all the Sanctuary Boston community has been to us, let’s build up our supply of worship and welcome materials (and to avoid lugging our gear from one location to the next) together! Bring all your extra altar-building paraphernalia to help stock us up for the year! Things we’re looking for are:
- Tablecloths & Altar covers (washed, please 😉
- Singing bowl(s)
- Tea lights (Oh My Goodness, do we need tea lights!!)
- Votive candles
- Glass vases for votives
- Pillar candles (solid & self-standing, large or small)
- Markers and Pens
There will be large bins at worship on November 5th and November 19th for us to store what you bring! Thank you in advance for continuing to share yourselves so beautifully with the community!!
