I See You | Written and performed by Alex Fam | Beloved Community, Becoming, Story, Play | Do you see me? I see you Did you think that I could not see through? I used to think you couldn’t see me when I curled up tight Now I know you see me so I’m letting in the light I can love you as you are You can hold me in your arms I couldn’t see how I could open up as much as you The colors of my being seemed to stick inside like glue Now the dust surrounds me knowing what I have inside I feel it in my molecules, it’s ready to fly Do you see me? I see you Did you think that I could not see through? When you hide away, I know you’ll come back soon When you hide away, I’ll be waiting for you When you hide away, I know you’ll come back soon I’ll be waiting for you Do you see me? I see you Did you think that I could not see through I used to think you couldn’t see me when I curled up tight Now I know you see me so I’m letting in the light I couldn’t see how I could open up as much as you The colors of my being seemed to stick inside like glue Now the dust surrounds me knowing what I have inside I feel it in my molecules, I’m ready to fly Do you see me? I see you Did you think that I could not see through |
Fire | Written by Christy Simpson Performed by Li Kynvi | Becoming | Fire can warm your hands and feet when it’s very very cold or it can lick clean a mountainside f trees a thousand years old. Blessed Unrest | Written by Zo Tobi Performed by Mark David Buckles | Imagination, Beloved Community, | Oh I am waking up to find my world Between the dying and being reborn I see what is and I see what could be Can’t close my eyes again and go back to sleep Fill my days with blessed unrest And my nights with dreams of justice Make me a vessel for the turning of the tide How can I change our course, just a lonely voice? Wish I could lose myself in all the noise But if we all would rise, a generation proud Then with a mighty song, we turn this world around, around… Fill my days with blessed unrest And my nights with dreams of justice Make me a vessel for the turning of the tide Ancestors all behind And before me every child Ancestors all behind And before me every child Ancestors all behind And before me every child I bring the power of a long unbroken line So when our time is through, I want to know We did what we came to do for the Future Ones So in our darkest days, may we all be strong And give our lives so life may go on Fill my days with blessed unrest And my nights with dreams of justice Make me a vessel for the turning of the tide For the turning of the tide For the turning of the tide |

(2x) Hear the song of hope within you, Heed the song of peace in your heart Spring’s beginning shall lead to the harvest. Love will guide us on our way. I’ve got joy like a fountain, I’ve got joy like a fountain, I’ve got joy like a fountain in my soul. (2x) Share the song and share the silence, Share the shade and share the light. With every friend, neighbor, stranger, On our journey through this life. I’ve got tears like the raindrops, I’ve got tears like the raindrops, I’ve got tears like the raindrops in my soul. (2x) If you cannot speak like angels, If you cannot speak before thousands, You can give from deep within you. You can change the world with your love. Make Channels for Streams of Love | Words: Richard Trench Music: American Folk Melody Performed by Matt Meyer | Beloved Community | Make channels for the streams of love Where they may broadly run; And love has overflowing streams To fill them everyone. But if at any time we cease Such channels to provide, The very founts of love for us Will soon be parched and dried. For we must share, if we would keep This gift all else above; We cease to give, we cease to have — Such is the law of love. |

We Are In This Together | Written and performed by Emily Chen | Beloved Community | We are in this together Though we’re far apart You are on my mind, And I’m sure you’ll find That you are in my heart We are in this together This is where we start While we’re sitting here In our different spheres Oh, when will our paths cross? And I know that it’s not fair That I am here and you are out there But you know, when the time is right We will stumble upon the end of our strife! We are in this together Though we’re far apart You are on my mind, And I’m sure you’ll find That you are in my heart ‘Cause you are in my heart |
